Registration for Rideshare Parking

 

To register for the scheme, read this page to find out how to get your Rideshare parking token and then proceed though the following three pages, filling in all required details accurately.


How do I get my Rideshare parking token?

A.Register for the scheme. An email will then be immediately sent to you with your priority parking ID. (Wrong email address - NO ID. Please enter email address correctly).
 
B.Obtain token by printing the email you receive from Rideshare and fill in your details. Take the printed email, photo ID (student ID, driver's licence or passport), proof that you are a student or work at the University or Polytech, and proof of your address (tenancy agreement, bank or IRD statement or household bill) to:

  • Customer Services Agency at Dunedin City Council Civic Centre, 50 The Octagon. Open 8.30am 5pm Monday to Friday.

Once your details are verified, your printed email will be exchanged for a parking token.

 
C.Park in a priority park! See map for various locations (Please note this map is in PDF format, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer in order to view and print it).
 
D.Display at least two valid tokens on the dashboard, clearly visible from the footpath. All token holders must be in the vehicle when you arrive.

*Do you live in North Dunedin or the City Centre? If yes, you are not eligible to receive a token. Please see map for covered area.

The Priority Parking tokens expire on the last day of February of the following year. You must re-apply for a token each year from February.
